Commissions - Terms and Conditions
Once a customised commission has been confirmed, the customer agrees to and is bound by the following terms and conditions:
Product description and photograph rights
The artwork will be sent unmounted and unframed unless agreed otherwise. Commissions will be based on a photograph provided by the customer. The artist has the right to decline the commission request if the customer is unable to provide a good quality photograph. The photograph provided must be the customers own photograph or they must have obtained permission from the owner to use the photograph prior to sending it to the artist. Permission must also be obtained if it was taken by a professional photographer.
Payment terms
Payment can be made by PayPal and a non refundable deposit of 30% is required before the commission begins. Balance of payment is required prior to delivery.
Turnaround Times
Approximate turnaround times will be discussed and agreed before starting the commission. The customer will be informed how and when the artwork has been dispatched. From this point the artist is no longer responsible for the length of delivery time.
Dispatch and Delivery
A target date will be agreed before starting the portrait. The finished work will be sent with tracking. Protective packing will always be used to protect the artwork.
Copyright
The artist retains the copyright of the artwork, and has the right to use an image of the work for portfolios, advertising, websites, merchandise and social media. The customer does not have the right to sell copies of the work in any way without permission from the artist.
